What is a verification of competency?

A Verification of Competency (V.O.C.) is an assessment conducted by candidate which is overviewed by a trainer assessor that holds the current Class/Licence with previous experience and or subject matter expertise in the relevant field with the candidate to demonstrate ability with a theory and practical component to operate equipment and/or undertake the responsibilities in a particular licence class  of these roles

Why do we need to do a verification of competency?

With occupational health and safety laws introduced in 2017 it is now a legal requirement of the employer to ensure that the their employees are competent in machinery operation and relevant high risk practices and associated works

What will you receive on completion of a verification of competency?

A card and a digital certificate stating your name, class and when the issue date of the VOC
