Skid steer training provides the foundational knowledge and practical experience to safely operate a skid steer loader—also commonly referred to as a Bobcat. Training is suitable for those with little or no experience. VOC (Verification of Competency) is a short-form assessment used to verify that a previously trained or experienced operator remains competent in using a skid steer for the tasks required. It’s typically conducted onsite and focuses on machine-specific, site-specific competency.
Our skid steer training follows the RIIMPO318F – Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations unit and includes both theory and hands-on learning: Machine components and functionality Safety inspections and fault identification Pre-start and shutdown procedures Safe loading and dumping techniques Operating in confined spaces and near obstacles Backfilling, trenching, spreading, and leveling Operating on gradients and uneven terrain Traffic and pedestrian control Machine maintenance, care, and reporting Training is delivered onsite using your equipment for maximum relevance.
