Nationally Recognized Backhoe Training
We offer hands-on training aligned with nationally recognized units of competency: Unit: RIIMPO319E – Conduct backhoe/loader operations Training Covers: OH&S obligations and safe work procedures Identifying machine components and controls Conducting pre-start checks and post-operational shutdown Lifting, trenching, and backfilling techniques Safe travel with loads and uneven terrain handling Material spreading and stockpiling Load charts and rated capacity awareness Environmental controls and fatigue management Emergency procedures Training is ideal for new operators or those with limited exposure to modern safety and machine standards.
Backhoe VOC Assessment
If you already operate backhoes and need formal Verification of Competency, we offer fast, onsite VOC assessments across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The VOC Includes:
Pre-operational checks and hazard identification
Practical operating tasks using your backhoe
Understanding of SWMS and safety responsibilities
Operator logbook and ID verification
Assessment of operational safety, control, and machine stability
Documentation of compliance for project onboarding
Assessment Time: 1.5 to 2 hours per operator
You receive a VOC certificate and record of assessment upon successful completion — valid for most construction, civil, and council projects.
